PhysNet in New Layout

Mail-Archive - 1999/06/29

    Dear Colleagues,

welcome to PhysNet the world-wide Physics Departments and Documents
    Network.

PhysNet offers a set of lists of links to all Physics Institutions
world-wide ordered by country and town. Additionally one can search on
the Web through the local Physics Institutions for locally stored documents.
This service is funded by the European Physical Society (EPS).

We are proud to present PhysNet in a new layout!
The new layout is hopefully more comfortable and contains more
detailed information about the services in Physics and other
disciplines. Moreover, the new layout doesn't use frame-technique
    anymore.

You will find the new PhysNet site at the old URL
    (http://www.physik.uni-oldenburg.de/EPS/PhysNet/) but we changed the
directory of the link-lists, so please change your links and bookmarks
if you linked one of them directly.

We added your Institutions homepage to our link-lists as you requested
(or someone else did for you) or we will add your homepage if you tell
us to do so. Please check the entry of your Institution, especially
the links to scientific documents or inform the responsible person to do
this. If there are any incorrect information or if a Department or a Department's
publication link is missing in the link-lists, please contact us via the
Upload-Interface you will find on the PhysNet site.

Many national link-lists are surely incomplete. We are always searching
for people to maintain the national link-lists. Please contact us (e.g. by E-Mail:
wwwadmin@www.physik.uni-oldenburg.de), if you are interested in doing
this and have a look on the PhysNet sites for more detailed information.

We would be very glad if you add a link to the PhysNet site
    (http://www.physik.uni-oldenburg.de/EPS/PhysNet/) on your department's
homepage and if you inform your colleagues and other interested people
    about PhysNet.

If you have any questions, comments or improvements, feel free to send
    us an email.

Please inform Eberhard R. Hilf (hilf@merlin.physik.uni-oldenburg.de) in
case you want to be removed from this email-list.

    Sincerely yours

            Thomas Severiens
            Cord Walter
            Michael Hohlfeld
